PAM Webinar Sessions

Objective

PAM Webinar Sessions provide Federal Program Agencies (FPAs) with training on changes to Treasury’s Payment Application Modernization (PAM) application, including file format changes, the addition of Treasury Account Symbol/Business Event Type Codes (TAS/BETCs), and impacts on payment processing.

First Hour Overview of PAM

Topics

  • Overview of the PAM project including upcoming releases, time-lines, data flow, and Agency outreach efforts
  • Identify Agencies who need to become CARS Reporters and who need to start reporting TAS/BETC’s to GWA/CARS by October 2014 utilizing the PAM Standard Payment Request (SPR)

Recommended Participants

  • Individuals who need a high level overview and understanding of PAM.
  • Individuals responsible for the allocation of resources in order to comply with the October 2014 mandate.
  • Individuals who need more information on Treasury’s Agency TAS/BETC readiness.

Second Hour Technical Walkthrough

Topics

  • Educate agencies who are currently submitting bulk payment files to Treasury, by providing an update on the programming requirements for converting to the SPR format.
  • Walkthrough of the SPR format, including a detailed discussion of each data element used to create the SPR bulk payment file.

Recommended Participants

  • Individuals who have direct knowledge of the current format used to submit bulk payment files to Treasury.
  • Individuals responsible for making programming changes to your payment file formats.
  • Subject matter experts who understand the payment processes.
  • Individuals responsible for testing the new TAS/BETC programming changes.
