Currently under development, the Post Payment System (PPS) will safeguard and administer the most comprehensive set of data for government payments. PPS will be the system of record for over one billion payments and associated exceptions that occur on an annual basis.
PPS will consolidate all post payment exception processing into a single application by merging activities currently performed in multiple legacy applications and reengineer disparate processes. These legacy applications include Payments, Claims & Enhanced Reconciliation (PACER) System; Tele-TRACE; Treasury Check Information System (TCIS); Treasury Offset Program Control System (TCS); and Treasury Receivable Accounting and Collection System (TRACS).
This consolidation will provide one-stop comprehensive post payment services for government agencies and financial institutions.
