Equipment Requirements

Now supports NT and 95. No software purchase necessary.

There are two sets of minimum requirements described below.

  • Workstation designed for Digital Imaging capabilities
  • Workstation without Digital Imaging capabilities.

It is not necessary to restrict workstations for use with PACER On-Line only. Workstations may include other software applications that the agency requires.

A. Minimum Workstation Requirements
(Dial­in Access to PACER On-Line With Digital Imaging)
486 Processor or higher
256K Cache
16MB Memory
220MB of free space on hard drive
Microsoft Compatible Mouse
High Performance Video Graphics Card (w/2MB VRAM)
Color Monitor 15", 17", 19" (19" preferred if agency views high volume of digital images on-line)
3 ½ 1.44 MB Floppy Drive
2 Serial Ports (for mouse and modem)
1 Parallel Port (for printer)
14,400 or higher V.34 Modem
MS Dos 6.0
Windows 3.1, 3.11, or higher (Windows NT, Windows 95/98)
DeskJet or LaserJet quality printer w/minimum 4MB RAM, (8MB preferred); LaserJet quality is recommended for agencies printing high volume of digital images
Secure ID Card (supplied by FMS)
Citrix WinFrame Client (supplied by FMS) (Netscape 2.0 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher)

B. Minimum Workstation Requirements
