JFICS Access News New

If your office currently submits claims to the Judgment Fund, you may now be eligible to receive access to the Judgment Fund Internet Claims System (JFICS). JFICS will allow your office to submit claims electronically, track a claim from submission to payment sent, receive real-time status updates and receive faster processing of claims. To receive more information regarding JFICS, please provide your name and other contact information (Agency name and telephone number) after clicking on the below link. The Openness Promotes Effectiveness in Our National Government Act of 2007 was signed into law on December 31, 2007. The law contains a provision that prohibits the Judgment Fund from serving as a funding source for attorney fees awarded under 5 USC 552(a)(4)(E) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Consequently, the Judgment Fund is no longer available to pay these fees.
