International Treasury Services (ITS.gov)
2014 TAS/BETC Training Schedule for International Payments
ITS.gov is providing training to support Treasury’s initiative to modernize payments, collections, and central accounting and reporting systems. This training is intended to help agencies be ready to meet the October 1, 2014 mandate to submit international payment data in a standard input format and to provide accounting information with every financial transaction.
Commissioner Dave Lebryk has signed follow-up memos to the January 14, 2011 memo emphasizing the October 1, 2014 CARS Reporter deadline. Click here to view the original memorandum as well as recent updates: Memorandum for All CFO's and Deputy CFO's.
All FPAs will be required to define and submit valid component TAS/BETC information with all transactions, including international payments.
ITS.gov TAS/BETC (Treasury Accounting Symbols/Business Event Type Code) Training sessions’ emphasis is on preparing Federal Program Agencies to become GWA/CARS reporters for the October 1, 2014 mandate. The primary focus and content will be to demonstrate new user input fields that have been added to existing screens.
Training will be provided by ITS.gov personnel from the Kansas City Financial Center and logistical information and materials will be provided prior to the training session. It is highly recommended that users attend SPS training in advance of ITS.gov training since SPS changes are more extensive and readily translate to ITS.gov screens.
*Participation in ITS.gov TAS/BETC Training provides instruction on screen changes and satisfies the ITS training requirement to become a CARS reporter.
Webinar vacancies are limited, so to enroll please email your first and second training date choices to Patty Regier at email@example.com.
