Monthly UCAD Reports Fiscal Year 2009

Monthly Use of the Central Accounting Data Report for Reciprocal Categories 07 & 08

The monthly UCAD Report is in a Pivot table format in Microsoft Excel, providing agencies with transactions and balances at each TAS level in Reciprocal Category 07 Appropriation of Unavailable Trust or Special Fund Receipts and Reciprocal Category 08 Nonexpenditure Transfers of Unexpended Appropriations and Financing Sources. The data is directly linked from the Treasury's Central Accounting System. Agencies should reconcile and validate RC 07 and RC 08 data using this report. Each agency has its own worktab in the file. Agencies can retrieve this report on the eighth workday of every month.

Instructions on using the pivot table for both the Summary and Detail Reports:

  1. Open the pivot table spreadsheet. At the bottom of the workbook select the worksheet tab that corresponds to your 2-digit agency Department code.
  2. Click on the drop down box next to the "Reciprocal Category" field, select the Reciprocal Category that you desire, and click "OK."
  3. From Excel menu bar, select "File", then "Print" to print the report

Instructions on viewing a specific accounting reporting period:

  1. Click on the drop down box next to the "Accounting Date" field, select the date(s) that you desire, and click "OK."
  2. Based on the selected parameters, the spreadsheet automatically populates with the desired information.

IRAS vs. UCAD Reports Fiscal Year 2009

IRAS vs. Use of the Central Accounting Data Report for Reciprocal Categories 07 & 08

The Reciprocal Categories 07 & 08 vs. UCAD Report is a spreadsheet in Pivot table format, providing agencies a data comparison between the Treasury's Central Accounting System and IRAS. This report compares intragovernmental balances in Reciprocal Category 07 Appropriation of Unavailable Trust or Special Fund Receipts and Reciprocal Category 08 Nonexpenditure Transfers of Unexpended Appropriations and Financing Sources.

Instructions on using the pivot table:

  1. Click on the drop down box next to the "Reciprocal Category" field, select the Reciprocal Category that you desire, and click "OK."
  2. Click on the drop down box next to the "Department" field, select your Department, and click "OK."
  3. After the Department is selected, the spreadsheet will automatically populate information for the set parameters.
  4. Click on "Run" to format the worksheet
  5. Click on "Print" to print the worksheet

Individual Trading Partner Reciprocal Report (ITPR)

The Individual Trading Partner Comparison Report (ITPR) is a spreadsheet in pivot table format, providing agencies with additional information that is not on the Intragovernmental Activity Detail and Intragovernmental Reciprocal Category Reports. This information includes agencies' fund titles, fund account groups, and Standard General Ledger accounts to assist agencies with their reconciliation process.

Instructions on using the pivot table:

  1. Click on the drop down menu next to "Your Agency" field, select your agency code, and click "OK."
  2. Click on the drop down menu next to "Trading Partner" field, select your partner code you wish to see, and click "OK."
  3. Click on the drop down menu next to the "Recip Category" field, select the reciprocal category you wish, and click "OK."
  4. Click on "Run" button in the red box.

Caveats to the spreadsheet:

  1. Both the reporting agency and the trading partner must be a verifying agency.
  2. Do not click on any drop down menu on the Partner’s side.
  3. Only select one trading partner at a time from the drop down menu.
  4. Only select one reciprocal category at a time from the drop down menu in order to work.
