2013 Federal Agency User Group Meeting
June 12, 2013

Location

The meeting will be held at Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Fiscal Service (FS) Liberty Center Building (LCB), located at 401 14th Street, SW, Room 107, Washington, DC.

Please note: All attendees MUST have a government ID to enter LCB.

Registration

To register for the 2013 Federal Agency User Group meeting, please go to the on-line FPA Registration Form. All attendees must register on-line via the above link by close of business on May 31, 2013. After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation.

The date of the 2013 User Group meeting will also be posted via broadcast messages, bi-monthly ASAP newsletters and email messages to your agency’s registered POC as listed in ASAP.

TAS/BETC Preparedness Training

Free training offered to FPAs, educating agencies on the TAS/BETC changes implemented within Treasury’s payment application systems. The training will include live demonstrations with a “How to” focus. The training will include a detailed review of new or changed application screens that will be applied after a FPA becomes a CARS TAS/BETC Reporter.

Each Payment Application Training Focus:

  • GWA/CARS: Converting FPA legacy appropriations to the component TAS/BETC
  • SAM: Identify FPA TAS/BETCs and the set-up of default TAS/BETC accounts
  • SPS: Entry and Certification of Payments using the TAS/BETC reporting requirements
  • ITS.gov: Processing of International Payments using the TAS/BETC reporting requirements

Target Audience: Individuals who have access to or frequently use the FMS Programs/Application including: Certifying Officers, Accounting Staff, Disbursing Officers, Data Entry Operators, Management, or those who access or utilize GWA, SAM, SPS or ITS.gov.

In support of the CARS reporting deadline of October 1, 2014, Payment Management will provide TAS/BETC Preparedness Training Sessions to educate agencies on the TAS/BETC changes implemented within Treasury’s payment application systems. These sessions will focus on live demonstrations of the payment applications, concentrating on how the addition of TAS/BETC information affects the application. ASAP will participate in the following session dates.

TAS/BETC Preparedness Training Session Dates:

  • June 4, 2013 – Washington, DC
  • June 5, 2013 – Washington, DC (registration closed)
  • August 6, 2013 – Denver, CO
  • August 7, 2013 – Denver, CO
  • October 22, 2013 – Washington, DC
  • October 23, 2013 – Washington, DC
